Approving adverse action against the Cigarette/Tobacco license held by Bibi Hajran, d/b/a Hajran Gift Shop at 175 Tenth Street East.

Body
WHEREAS, the Cigarette/Tobacco license held by Bibi Hajran d/b/a Hajran Gift Shop (License ID #20090004885) for the premises located at 175 - 10th Street East in Saint Paul, was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Suspend License dated December 19, 2013, stating the licensee failed to pay delinquent license and late fees of $560.00; submit a copy of his/her Tax ID or Social Security Number and a completed Certificate of Compliance Minnesota Workers' Compensation Law form; and

WHEREAS, per Saint Paul Legislative Code ยง310.05 (m) (2), the licensing office also recommended a $500.00 matrix penalty for failure to submit required information in order to maintain the license; and

WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Suspend License sent to the licensee's home and business address on file with DSI were returned by the US Post Office "attempted not known - unable to forward'; and

WHEREAS, as a result, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Suspend License to pay the delinquent license and late fees and submit required information or request a hearing; and

WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Suspend License stated that if the licensee failed to pay the delinquent license and late fees and submit the required information or request a hearing by December 30, 2013, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, the Cigarette/Tobacco license held by Bibi Hajran d/b/a Hajran Gift Shop is hereby suspended for failure to pay delinquent license and late fees of $560.00.

FURTHER RESOLVED, the licensee is ordered to pay a matrix penalty of $500.00 for failure to submit required information in order to maintain the license.
