Approving adverse action against the Taxicab Driver (Provisional) license application submitted by William Chevre.

WHEREAS, the Taxicab Driver (Provisional) license application submitted by William Chevre (License ID #1998000214) for the City of Saint Paul was the subject of a  Notice of Intent to Deny License dated December 19, 2013, stating the licensee was convicted on February 9, 2007 of Felony Drugs - 1st Degree Possess 25 Grams or More-Cocaine/Heroin/Meth (Minn. Stat. § 152.021.2 (1)) in Pine County and again on November 5, 2007 of Felony Drugs - 1st Sale 10 Grams or More-Cocaine/Heroin/Meth w/in 90-day period (Minn. Stat. § 152.021.1 (1)) in Itasca County; and
 
WHEREAS, further investigation found at the time of his license application on November 20, 2013, the licensee was under Supervised Release for the Pine County conviction until July 18, 2015 and the Itasca County conviction until April 18, 2017; and
 
WHEREAS, based on this information, the licensing office recommended license denial per Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.16 (e) (4); and   
 
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Deny License to request a public or administrative hearing or withdraw his license application; and
 
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Deny License stated that if the licensee failed to request a public or administrative hearing or withdraw his license application by December 30, 2013, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Taxicab Driver (Provisional) application submitted by William Chevre is hereby denied.
