WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Vacant Building fees billed November 8, 2012 to May 17, 2013. (File No. VB1401, Assessment No. 148800) (File No. VB1401A, Assessment No. 148808) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council's Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; and  
 
WHEREAS, the code compliance report of was revisited by the Legislative Hearing Officer and Building Official and they recommend modifications be made; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council amends the Code Compliance Inspection Report, with the advice and consent of the Building Official; and
 
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Chapter 14 of the Saint Paul City Charter, said assessment is hereby laid over to February 5, 2014 City Council Public Hearing reduced from a total of $1,595 to $795 and made payable over 2 years.
