Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation has maintained a cooperative partnership with the non-profit organization, HandsOn Twin Cities; and
 
WHEREAS, it is the mission of HandsOn Twin Cities (HOTC) to "bring people together to strengthen communities through meaningful volunteer action";and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Environmental Services program partnered with HOTC to facilitate Make a Difference Day at Hidden Falls Regional Park in 2013; and
WHEREAS, HandsOn Twin Cities wishes to donate approximately $2,500 to reimburse Parks and Recreation for tools, materials, and supplies purchased to support this event; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes Parks and Recreation to accept a $2,500 donation from Hands on Twin Cities to support Make a Difference Day efforts, and thanks HandsOn Twin Cities for its generous gift.
