Authorizing the Fire Department to pay for all costs associated with the Women's Firefighter Expo and the Fire Equipment Operator exam which took place on October 12, 2013 and October 16-17, 2013.

Pursuant to the 2013 City Budget, the proper City officials are hereby authorized to remit payment for the Women's Firefighter Expo and the Fire Equipment Operator exam expenses not to exceed $250.00. This will pay for all costs incurred by the Saint Paul Fire Department for lunch and water for staff working at the Women's Firefighter Expo on October 12, 2013. The purpose of the expo is to recruit women to apply for the firefighter exam. This will also pay for all costs incurred by the Saint Paul Fire Department for lunch and snacks for the Fire Equipment Operator practical exam evaluators on October 16-17, 2013. The purpose of the exam is to test the candidates on the Fire Equipment Operator practical exam.
A copy of said order is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services.
