Declaring December 12, 2013 to be Jill Marie Gugisberg Wall Day in the City of St. Paul.

WHEREAS, Jill Marie Gugisberg-Wall was born in Minnesota's capital city to Donald and Inez Gugisberg, and;
WHEREAS, Jill chose to follow her parents' career path and become an educator herself, and;
WHEREAS, Jill has a passion for aerospace education and a dedication to serve a diverse population of students which has made her an invaluable asset to Farnsworth School, and;
WHEREAS, personal mission is, "To assure that all children, especially under-represented groups, are challenged by rigorous academics to prepare them for STEM careers and to know that learning is exciting and fun."; and,
WHEREAS, Jill's commitment to excellence has caused her to earn many prestigious awards including but not limited to: the AIAA Foundation 2011 Educator Achievement Award, the Minnesota Aerospace Educator - Hall of Fame 2009, Air Force Association General Rawlings Chapter - Teacher of the Year 2004, St. Paul Chamber of Commerce School-to-Future Teacher in the Workplace Award 2002, now;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council does hereby declare and proclaim that December 12, 2013, be forever more known as Jill Marie Gugisberg Wall Day.
