Authorizing the Police Department to accept donated professional services time for Colby Reineke to produce an on-line version of the Police Department policy manual.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Police Department (SPPD) desires to enter into an agreement with Colby Reineke which includes an indemnification clause, and
WHEREAS, this agreement is for Mr. Reineke's professional services as it relates to the production of an on-line version of the Saint Paul Police Manual (SPPM), and
WHEREAS, the Colby Reineke will donate his time to provide the professional services to perform the tasks as detailed in the agreement a market value of approximately five thousand dollars ($5,000); and
WHEREAS, the SPPD will incur all expenses relating to the uploading and maintenance of the project at a cost not to exceed $500 per year; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to provide the SPPD with access to an up-to-date department manual using the application developed by Mr. Reineke; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts this generous donation and extends its sincere thanks to Mr. Reineke, and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the council approves entering into and Police Chief Thomas E. Smith to implement the attached agreement, which includes an indemnification clause with Mr. Reineke.
