Accepting the gift of dinner donated by Animal Ark to honor Council President Kathy Lantry, DSI Director Ricardo Cervantes, DSI Deputy Director Christine Rozek, and St. Paul Animal Control Supervisor Molly Lunaris on Saturday November 9, 2013.

WHEREAS, Animal Ark is an organization dedicated to animal welfare; and
WHEREAS, on November 9, 2013, Animal Ark will be hosting an event to which Council President Kathy Lantry, Ricardo Cervantes, Director of DSI, Christine Rozek, Deputy Director of DSI and Molly Lunaris, Supervisor of Saint Paul Animal Control have been invited and at which their work on animal issues in the city will be honored; and
WHEREAS, Animal Ark is providing tickets to the events, valued at $75, which will include dinner and the program, without charge to these four individuals; and
WHEREAS, attendance at the event will strengthen ties with partner organizations committed to the welfare of animals and allow these key individuals to discuss ways to improve services; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the donation of four tickets from Animal Ark to the November 9, 2013 Paws to Celebrate event to allow Council President Lantry, Director Cervantes, Deputy Director Rozek and Molly Lunaris to attend, and thanks Animal Ark for its generous gift.
