Approving a closed door session of the City Council on Wednesday, November 6, 2013.
Body
WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. § 13D.03, subd. 1(b) provides that the governing body of a public employer may by a majority vote in a public meeting decide to hold a closed meeting to consider strategy for labor negotiations, including negotiation strategies or developments or discussion and review of labor negotiation proposals; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Council of the City of Saint Paul to meet and discuss the City's strategy and position for potential interest arbitration between the City and the Saint Paul Police Federation; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby agrees to hold a closed meeting to consider the City's strategy and position for the potential interest arbitration between the City of Saint Paul and the Saint Paul Police Federation pursuant to the provisions of Minn. Stat. § 13D.03 subd. 1(b) said meeting to be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Northwest Conference Room, Room 310 City Hall; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proceedings of the closed meeting shall be taped and that such tape shall be preserved in accordance with Minn. Stat. § 13D.03, Subd. 2.
