Authorizing the Parks and Recreation Department to enter into a three-year contract with the Sanneh Foundation for the management of Conway Recreation Center. (Laid over from October 23)
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is the owner of certain real property known as Conway Recreation Center located at 2090 Conway Street, Saint Paul, MN 55119; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul's Department of Parks and Recreation actively sought motivated and qualified partners to work with the City to support programs and services at Conway; and
WHEREAS, the Sanneh Foundation submitted a partnership proposal, met with community members and has otherwise displayed its commitment to improving the lives of Saint Paul residents by encouraging physical activity, teaching life skills, stimulating community engagement, promoting soccer skills development; and
WHEREAS, the Sanneh Foundation is committed to providing a variety of youth and adult programs in a safe and healthy environment and parties have negotiated the attached three-year management agreement; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Administrative Code ยง86.01(d) requires that any management agreement of longer than one year be approved by the City Council; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the appropriate city officials to execute the attached three-year contract with the Sanneh Foundation for the management of Conway Recreation Center.
