Authorizing the City of Saint Paul to execute a grant contract amendment for a timeline extension with the State of Minnesota for the 2011 Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) Grant.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has received a grant of $274,648.00 from the State of Minnesota for the 2011 Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) Grant to purchase mass casualty shelter equipment, develop a shelter plan, and to fund a MMRS Planning Coordinator position, and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota is offering to extend the 2011 MMRS Grant to give the City of Saint Paul more time to complete the various projects relating to this grant, and
WHEREAS, the original grant agreement was approved on Council Resolution PH 12-97, and
WHEREAS, the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant contract amendments for a timeline extension with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety as provided by the Department of Emergency Management; a copy of said agreement is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services.
