Authorizing the City of Saint Paul to accept a grant in the amount of $47,488 from the Minnesota FastTRAC Adult Career Pathway Program for the Saint Paul EMS Academy.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul applied for and received a grant from the Minnesota FastTRAC Adult Career Pathway Program in the amount of $47,488 for the Saint Paul EMS Academy, and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul would like to accept the grant from the Minnesota FastTRAC Adult Career Pathway Program, and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of the Saint Paul EMS Academy is to give participants who live in Ramsey County the opportunity to prepare for careers in fire and or/EMS service,
NOW THEREFORE, IT BE RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of the residents of Saint Paul, accept this grant of $47,488 from the Minnesota FastTRAC Adult Career Pathway Program and extend their sincere appreciation to this organization.
