Title

Accepting Livable Communities Tax Base Revitalization Account Grants from the Metropolitan Council and amending the 2013 budget.

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council on April 24, 2013, by Resolution number 13-623 authorized the Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to apply to the Metropolitan Council for Tax Base Revitalization grants for the 324 Johnson, Hamms Brewery, and Old Home Plaza sites; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council approved Livable Communities Tax Base Revitalization Account  grants of $719,400 for the 324 Johnson site, $124,600 for the Hamms Brewery site, and $106,900 for the Old Home Plaza site; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $950,900 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2013 budget and recommends the changes to the 2013 budget identified on Attachment A:

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul accepts these grants and approves the changes identified on Attachment A to the 2013 budget.
