Comments:  VB File opened in June of 2012. upon recocation of C of O by Benjamin Ellis. Inspector Friel found it vacant and with building permits pulled. He made it a cat 1 due to active permits. Inspector Friel granted 3 extensions on fees to allow closing of permits and would then close VB file. Permits have not been closed and vb file closed as well as of June of 2013. WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Ratifying Collection of Vacant Building fees billed June 1, 2012 to February 12, 2013. (File No. VB1310, Assessment No. 13884) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and
 
WHEREAS, the City Council's Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
 
WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the City Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Chapter 14 of the Saint Paul City Charter, said assessment is hereby reduced from $1,255.00 to $627.50.
