Authorizing acceptance of HRA-owned parcels in connection with the Heritage Park Project.

WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul ("HRA") acquired at different times the following properties:
680 Wells Street (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-42-0222),
Formerly 684 Wells Street (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-42-0221),
Formerly 686 Wells Street (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-42-0220),
689 Wadena Avenue (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-42-0219),
691 Wadena Avenue (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-42-0218),
Formerly 694 Wells Street (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-42-0217),
696 Wells Street (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-42-0216),
695 Wadena Avenue (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-42-0215),
864 Greenbrier Street (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-41-0159),
Formerly 702 Wells Street (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-41-0158),
704-6 Wells Street (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-41-0157),
710 Wells Street (Parcel ID No. 29-29-22-41-0156),

(collectively the "Properties"), all in Saint Paul, Minnesota, as highlighted on the maps attached hereto as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, some of the parcels comprising the Properties were acquired for a proposed housing development that did not go forward because of topography challenges; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul ("City"), through its Department of Parks and Recreation, has requested that the HRA convey the Properties to the City for the purpose of expanding the land area of the adjacent Heritage Park; and
WHEREAS, on June 12, 2013 the HRA Board approved RES PH 13-138 authorizing conveyance of the Properties to the City; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby accepts the Properties from the HRA for the expansion of Heritage Park; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized and directed to record the deed(s) for said Properties with the Ramsey County Recorder's Office and/or Registrar ...
