Purpose of Appeal
Sewer backup in main line due to tree roots which cost us $1,065.80. [We are requesting] removal of city blvd. tree due to tree roots in our main line. Greg was out from Forestry and said tree was healthy so would not remove blvd tree. We have never had a problem all these years. The City put in a new pvc pipe from street to our property line. We feel this is what caused the problem as our main sewer line has never been cleaned out since we lived there. After the new pipe was connected, X-Cel Energy came into our house & put a camera through line to see if gas piping was in sewer line which it wasn't. He said sewer line looked fine.

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Gary and Lorraine Vietor to a Letter from Department of Parks and Recreation-Operations at 1566 MONTANA AVENUE EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter grants the appeal.
