Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Police Department special fund in the amount of $209,000 for an approved grant adjustment received for the 2012 Port Security grant.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department was awarded 2012 Port Security Grant Program from the US Department of Homeland Security through its Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as authorized by CF RES PH 12-317, and
WHEREAS, this grant provides funds to support the city's Maritime Awareness - Camera Surveillance Program in network connectivity and maintenance costs for 98 cameras, backhauls and other equipment; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the grant budget was approved by the US Department of Homeland Security for the purchase of equipment (Attachment A); and
BE IT ORDERED, consistent with the authority granted to the Mayor in Section 10.07.4 of the City Charter and on the request of the Chief of the Saint Paul Police Department to amend the 2013 budget of the Police Special Fund (436), the Director of the Office of Financial Services is authorized to amend said budget in the following manner.
