Staff told appellant that the condemnation would be lifted if the water bill was paid. Mr. Johnson said that he did not want to drive to Rice Street to pay the bill. Staff and Mr. Johnson went to the mail box, and staff saw Mr. Johnson put a check in the mail to the Water Dept. -RN
NOTE, this condemnation/revocation resulted in a vacant building file being opened. Therefore, I'm sending an fyi to the VB Sup's. -MM

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of David R. Johnson to a Notice of Condemnation-Unfit for Human Habitation-Order to Vacate at 1810 MONTANA AVENUE EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal, thus allowing the building to be a category 1 registered vacant building and waiving the vacant building fee for a period of 90 days; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
