WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Gene Peterman, on behalf of the State of Minnesota, to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 540 CEDAR STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council 1) deny the appeal, and require the time delay of the panic hardware from 15 seconds to 5 seconds in the south cafeteria area and change signage appropriately and for the other door(s), decrease from 15 to 10 seconds changing the signage appropriately; and 2) allow for this variance of the Fire Code only for the duration of the use of key building areas being used for human services private data storage requirements, as federal law requires 2 layers of security for access to these key spaces; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
