Authorizing the proper City officials to proceed with the acquisition of a parcel of vacant land across the street from 325 Commercial Street adjacent to the Bruce Vento Sanctuary.

WHEREAS, the following parcel is a tax-forfeited property held in Trust by the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, acting through its Real Estate Manager, has secured an agreement for the purchase of one parcel of real property located across the street from 325 Commercial Street adjacent to the Bruce Vento Sanctuary (PIN No. 32.29.22.42.0022), as shown on the attached map and described as:
Except the Southeasterly 100 feet, the Northeasterly 25 feet of Lot 5 Block 31, Lyman Dayton Addition to the City of Saint Paul
; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation of the City of Saint Paul requests that the proper City officials purchase this parcel from the State of Minnesota via the Ramsey County Tax Forfeited Lands Division for the stated purpose of adding parkland to the Bruce Vento Sanctuary, the value of said property being $1.00 plus filing fees of $77.68; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the proper City officials to proceed with the acquisition of said parcel for a purchase price of Seventy Eight and 68/100 Dollars ($78.68), including filing fees, payable to Ramsey County for the above described parcel. Said sum is to be charged to Activity Code: 720-50087.
