Authorizing the Fire Department to accept the donation of a 15-passenger shuttle van from the Embassy Suites.

Body

WHEREAS, the Embassy Suites has offered to donate a 2002 Ford/Forest River 15 passenger shuttle van valued at $5,000 to the Fire Department, and

WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to accept the donation of the shuttle van from the Embassy Suites, and

WHEREAS, the public purpose of this donation is to provide a means of transportation for firefighters for training and other uses as needed, and

NOW, THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of the citizens of Saint Paul, accept this donation of the shuttle van from the Embassy Suites and extend their sincere appreciation to this organization.
