Purpose of Appeal

Deficiency List Item #8.  We are requesting a postponement for compliance.  This building is for sale and being marketed for redevelopment.  It is highly likely the building will be demolished and all sprinkler heads would be thrown away.  This building is financially stressed due to high vacancy.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Scott Huestis to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 2147 UNIVERSITY AVENUE WEST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant until January 1, 2014 to bring the sprinkler heads into compliance; Now, Therefore, Be It

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
