Purpose of Appeal

Lower level room is 6.65 ft.  We request a variance to be able to use this room as a legal bedroom.  There is an egress window (which we installed with a permit).  The space has been used as a bedroom in the past.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Jan Parker to a Correction Notice - Re-Inspection Complaint at 1382 JULIET AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant up to 3-inch variance if owner can get the basement bedroom ceiling height to 6 feet 9 inches; grant 90 days for compliance; Now, Therefore, Be It

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
