Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation Forestry Unit to accept a $4,000 donation from Friends of Ramsey County and Saint Paul Parks and Trails to assist in the completion of boulevard tree inventory.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation, Forestry Unit, is in the process of conducting a citywide boulevard tree inventory; and
WHEREAS, the inventory will provide valuable data on the makeup of the city's urban forest for management purposes, especially in light of the growing threat of Emerald Ash Borer to the forest resource; and
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Parks and Trails of Saint Paul and Ramsey County, a long-standing partner of the Department of Parks and Recreation, has offered a monetary donation of four-thousand dollars ($4,000) to the completion of said inventory; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the donation for the boulevard tree inventory project and thanks the Friends of the Parks and Trails of Saint Paul and Ramsey County for their generous gift.
