Approving changes to the City's Municipal State Aid Street System (MSAS) to be submitted to the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota.

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works is recommending to the City Council of Saint Paul that certain changes be made to the City's Municipal State Aid Street System (MSAS), and
WHEREAS, these changes are being recommended in order to fund the construction of an expanded street network in the Lowertown area of Downtown Saint Paul, and
WHEREAS, the City currently has an undesignated balance of 0.30 miles that is available for designation as MSAS mileage within the City of Saint Paul, and
WHEREAS, the proposed changes include using 0.24 miles of the 0.30 miles available for designation in addition to the changes referenced below, so
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Saint Paul that the street described as follows:
Location:        5th Street from Broadway Street to Kittson Street
Route:            MSAS 133 (0.20 miles)
be, and hereby is, revoked as  a Municipal State Aid Street in the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of Saint Paul that the streets described as follows:
Location:        Prince Street from Broadway Street to Trout Brook Boulevard
Route:        MSAS 303 (0.39 miles)
Location:        Lafayette Street from Prince Street to Kellogg Boulevard
Route:             MSAS 304 (0.05 miles)
be, and hereby are, designated as Municipal State Aid Streets in the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, under the provisions of Minnesota State Statutes,  Chapter 162 - State-Aid Road Systems, so
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, by the City Council of Saint Paul, that all changes to the Municipal State Aid Street network included in this resolution are subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota.
