Approving the lobbying contract for Ward Einess to assist the city in lobbying for the city's tax policy positions at the state legislature during this legislative session.
Body
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Office wishes to enter into a contract with Ward Einess to assist the city in lobbying for the city's tax policy positions at the state legislature this legislative session; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Administrative Code ยง45.03 requires all lobbying activities on behalf of the city to be consistent with the city's federal or state legislative agenda, and prohibits lobbying activities taking place without prior approval by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the scope of services in the attached agreement is consistent with the city's state legislative agenda with respect to the city's tax policies; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into the attached agreement for lobbying services with Ward Einess.
