Authorizing the Saint Paul Public Library Agency to hold volunteer recognition events.
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Public Library volunteers enhance services that are provided by offering a wide variety of talents, skills and time to assist in Library programs and tasks; and
WHEREAS, about 958 adult and 186 youth volunteers contributed over 29, 679 hours in 2012; and
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Public Library will hold a volunteer recognition dinner program at the Crowne Plaza Saint Paul - Riverfront on May 13, 2013 and a youth volunteer pizza party recognition in the fall of 2013; and
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Public Library has received monies from The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library to pay for the events; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that The Saint Paul Public Library officials are authorized and directed to undertake the staging of the events and remit the cost not to exceed $13,500 for the program to the proper parties.
