Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education Section, to purchase food items and to pay companies who provide food for educational programs, in an amount not to exceed $17,500.

WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education programs for 2013 are expected to generate a revenue of approximately $300,000.00; and
WHEREAS, a number of the programs such as Birthday Parties, Overnights, early childhood programs, extensive group tours, and camps provide food for program purposes; and
WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education spends approximately $17,500.00 on food for the programs; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education Section is authorized to purchase food items for the Educational programs in the amount not to exceed $17,500.00.
