Approving adverse action against the Taxicab Driver license held by John Aldrich, Jr.

WHEREAS, adverse action was taken against the Taxicab Driver license held by John Aldrich, Jr. d/b/a John Aldrich, Jr. (License ID #0057801) for the City of Saint Paul by Notice of Intent to Revoke License dated November 6, 2012, alleging the licensee was convicted on November 1, 2012, of Misdemeanor Traffic - Careless Driving in Ramsey County District Court, in violation of Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.16 (e) (5) (a) (3); and
WHEREAS, as a result of this conviction, the licensing office recommended revocation of his Taxicab Driver license; and
WHEREAS, on November 16, 2012, the licensee came into the City Attorney's Office and submitted a letter admitting to the facts but contesting the revocation of his license and requesting a public hearing which was held on December 19, 2012; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Taxicab Driver license held by John Aldrich, Jr. d/b/a John Aldrich, Jr. is hereby revoked due to a conviction on November 1, 2012 for Misdemeanor Traffic - Careless Driving in violation of Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.16 (e) (5) (a) (3).
This resolution, and action taken above, is based upon facts contained in the November 6, 2012, Notice of Violation sent to the licensee and the arguments made at the public hearing on December 19, 2012.
