Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Public Works in the amount of $746,250 to accept a federal grant through the Metropolitan Council and to establish a local funding match for the Charles Avenue Project.  (Public hearing held October 17)
Body
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul approved Resolution #12-211 at their public hearing meeting on September 5, 2012, authorizing the design and construction of various infrastructure improvements along Charles Avenue from Park Street to Aldine Street, and  
 
WHEREAS, the City was successful in securing Non-Motorized Transportation Project funding through the application process with the Metropolitan Council which requires a 30% local funding match, and   
 
WHEREAS, the local funding identified for this project includes STAR and Capital Improvement Bond (CIB) funds, with additional funds coming from the Minnesota Department of Transportation through their Cooperative Agreement Program, and
 
WHEREAS, this resolution establishes the budget for the infrastructure improvements on Charles Avenue from Park Street to Aldine Street in the City of Saint Paul, and
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $746,250 in the Capital Improvement Budgets; so
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $746,250 is available for appropriation in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvement Budgets in the following particulars:
