Setting the 2013 maximum property tax levy for the City of Saint Paul.
Body
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 10 of the City Charter, Mayor Coleman presented to the City Council on August 13, 2012, the Mayor's proposed budget, with said recommended budgets totaling $580,973,331; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with City ordinance, Mayor Coleman presented to the City Council on August 16, 2012 the Library Agency's proposed budget, with said recommended budgets totaling $20,659,172; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has taken into consideration levy limits imposed by the State of Minnesota and will report on the use of special levies and adherence to levy limits in accordance with State law; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor did recommend, as part of the comprehensive 2013 financing plan for the City of Saint Paul, that the 2012 net property tax levy payable in 2013 be $99,396,152 as detailed below:
