Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation in the amount of $21,682 from Friends of St. Paul Baseball for field improvements at Palace Recreation Center.
Body
WHEREAS, Friends of St. Paul Baseball, located at 1150 Selby Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55104, wishes to provide resources to improve Palace Recreation Center's baseball field; and
WHEREAS, the resources and improvements are being provided through a grant provided to the Friends of St. Paul Baseball by the Minnesota Twins; and
WHEREAS, the specific donated items include the following:
- Fencing $15,700.00
- Concrete Work $4,050.00
- New Players Benches $1,532.00
- Backstop Matt $400.00; and
WHEREAS, the improvements will add to the usefulness and appearance of Palace Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation will have final sign-off on the improvements being completed at the site, and will maintain the improvements once installed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the donation of field improvements at Palace Recreation Center and sincerely thanks the Friends of St. Paul Baseball for their generous donation.
