Authorizing the Department of Planning and Economic Development to accept a gift of $10,000 from the City of Minneapolis for administration of the Central Corridor Business Marketing Program.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, under the terms of a Joint Powers Agreement between the Metropolitan Council and the St. Paul Housing and Redevelopment Authority, agreed to administer a Central Corridor Business Marketing Program ("Program") within the jurisdictions of both the City of Saint Paul and the City of Minneapolis; and
WHEREAS, the City of Minneapolis, under the terms of a Joint Powers Agreement with the St. Paul Housing and Redevelopment Authority, agreed to contribute $10,000 to the City of Saint Paul in recognition of the staff costs incurred by the City in administering the Program in Minneapolis; and
WHEREAS, the donation will support general operations in the Department of Planning and Economic Development; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the acceptance of this gift and thanks the City of Minneapolis for its generous donation.
