Amending the financing and spending plans in the general government activities to reflect rebates as required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul received a rebate from HealthPartners, Inc. as required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; and
WHEREAS, Federal regulations require that the plan use the portion for the rebate attributable to participant contributions to benefit current participants in the plan; and
WHEREAS, the total amount to be rebated to employees and early retirees who currently pay a portion of the premium is $58,433.84; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that changes be made to the 2012 adopted budget as indicated in the attached financial analysis;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves these amendments to the 2012 budget as indicated in the attached.
