Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation of field improvements from Kemps LLC for the baseball field at Edgcumbe Recreation Center.
Body
WHEREAS, Kemps LLC, located at 1270 Energy Lane, Saint Paul, MN 55108, wishes to provide resources to improve Edgcumbe Recreation Center's baseball field; and
WHEREAS, the resources and improvements are being provided on behalf of a sponsorship agreement Kemps has with Joe Mauer, and family; and
WHEREAS, the specific donated items include the following:
- New dugouts & fencing
- Landscaping
- Infield improvements
- Small site signage/memorial; and
WHEREAS, the value of the improvements are estimated at $40,000; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation will have final sign-off on the improvements being completed at the site, and will maintain the improvements once installed;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the donation of field improvements at Edgcumbe Recreation Center and sincerely thanks Kemps LLC and the Mauer Family for their generous donation.
