Approving adverse action against the Taxicab Driver license application submitted by Martha Spears Sekone d/b/a Martha Spears Sekone for the City of Saint Paul.

WHEREAS, adverse action was taken against the Taxicab Driver license application submitted by Martha Spears Sekone d/b/a Martha Spears Sekone (License ID #20110004471) for the City of Saint Paul by Notice of Intent to Deny License dated August 9, 2012, alleging the licensee failed to submit a copy of her driving record from the State of New York as required by Saint Paul Legislative Code ยง 376.16 (e) (5) (e); and
WHEREAS, as a result, the licensing office recommended license denial; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Deny License to submit the requested information, request a hearing or withdraw her license application; and
WHEREAS, a call to the Department of Safety and Inspections on August 27, 2012, confirmed that the applicant was not driving for Airport Town & Taxi as she had indicated on her application; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Deny License stated that if the licensee failed to submit the requested information, request a hearing or withdraw her license application by August 20, 2012, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Taxicab Driver license application submitted by Martha Spears Sekone d/b/a Martha Spears Sekone is hereby denied.
