Appeal of Lori Purdy to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Approval With Corrections at 843 ASHLAND AVENUE.
Purpose of Appeal
All deficiencies have been corrected with the exception of a portion of the painting. I am appealing the remaining painting because I would like to do this work in the Spring/Summer of 2013. Why?
1. I have already invested over $10,000 in the property this year. The property is looking great. I would like the additional time to budget the remaining painting costs for the final work.
2. My contractor says that the newly installed treated wood needs time to dry out thoroughly before getting painted. They recommend not painting it until at least the fall of 2012.
I believe I have demonstrated that it is my intention to keep this property well maintained and I would appreciate approval of this appeal.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Lori Purdy to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Approval With Corrections at 843 ASHLAND AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal on sealing the treated wood and grant an extension to June 15, 2013 for compliance, and grant the appeal on the remaining items; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
