Appeal of Christine Younghans to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 1197 ROSS AVENUE.
Purpose of Appeal
#1 - The openable height of windows in sleeping rooms - The windows are 7 inches wider than required. There are two separate stairways for exit. I cannot afford to change these windows.
#2 - The door leading into bedroom space upstairs, height and width - The door is on the roof line. The inspector submitted photos. There is another full size door leading to this space. I cannot afford to raise the roof.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Christine Younghans to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 1197 ROSS AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 5-inch variance on the openable height of the egress windows in all bedrooms; grant the appeal on the door leading into the bedroom space upstairs; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
