Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $251,520 to accept the 2011 Assistance to Firefighter Grant to provide training.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department has applied for and received a grant of $314,400.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program which has a federal share fo $251,520.00 and 20% matching funds of $62,880.00 to provide vehicle rescue training, driver/operator training, operations training, and surface ice rescue training, and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint paul is required by federal law to pay a 20% matching fund contribution of $62,880.00 which will be paid from P5/001-05120-0141-50130, and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the following addition be made to the 2012 budget:

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts this grant and approves the changes to the 2012 budget.
