Title
Authorizing proper City officials to enter into an agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Soo Line Railroad Company, d/b/a Canadian Pacific, for the installation and maintenance of railroad flashing light signals, gates and circuitry at the intersection of the Company railroad tracks and South Western Avenue.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the Soo Line Railroad Company d/b/a Canadian Pacific Railway (hereinafter called the "Company" desires to install updated railroad flashing light signals, gates and circuitry at the intersection of the Company railroad tracks and South Western Avenue approximately 450 feet south of Saint Clair Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul desires to enter into an agreement with the Company  and the Commissioner of Transportation for the installation and maintenance of railroad flashing light signals, gates and circuitry at the intersection of the Company railroad tracks and South Western Avenue, and appointing the Commissioner
of Transportation agent for the City to supervise said project and administer available Federal funds in accordance with Minnesota Statute, Section 161.36. The City's share of the cost shall be ten percent (10%) of the total signal cost; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that we hereby authorize the proper City officials to sign this agreement with the Company and the Commissioner of Transportation, State of Minnesota; and that we hereby authorize the proper City officials to process payment to the Company.
