Title
Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Public Works in the amount of $570,000 to cover engineering and inspection charges for the Payne Avenue, Cook to Orange Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has completed the contract for the streetscape improvements along Payne Avenue from Cook Street to Orange Street known as SU-0502269 and approved on City Council File # 10-1474, and
WHEREAS, bids for the project came in higher than anticipated due to street lighting work that was not included in the original estimated amount for the project, and
WHEREAS, the contractor has been paid for all the contract items completed under the project and additional funds are needed to cover the engineering and inspection charges incurred on the project, and
 
WHEREAS, the Department has identified a funding source from the cancelled capital project known as the Midtown Greenway - Saint Paul Bicycle Extension Project (SU-5501874) , and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Chapter 57.09 of the Administrative Code of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $570,000 in excess of those estimated in the Capital Improvement Budget; so
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $570,000 is available for appropriation in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvement Budgets, in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
