Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Public Works in the amount of $1,125,000 by reappropriating funds from the St. Paul Avenue at Cleveland Intersection Improvement Project into the Ford Parkway Sidewalk Reconstruction Project and the Ohio Street Reconstruction Project, and adding assessment financing of $234,000 to establish complete financing and spending plans for the Ford Parkway Sidewalk Reconstruction and Ohio Street Reconstruction Projects.

WHEREAS, The Department of Public Works has canceled the St. Paul Avenue @ Cleveland Avenue Intersection Improvement Project known as SU-1501506 and approved by Council File # 07-31 due to neighborhood opposition during the acquisition of right-of-way needed to construct the project, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works proposes to transfer a portion of the MSA funds from the St. Paul Avenue at Cleveland Avenue Intersection Improvement Project into the new Ford Parkway Sidewalk Reconstruction Project, and
WHEREAS, there will also be some assessment financing added to the Ford Parkway Sidewalk Reconstruction project which is consistent with City policy where sidewalk is being added or reconstructed, and
WHEREAS, this resolution establishes the Ford Parkway Sidewalk Reconstruction from Howell Street to Mississippi River Boulevard, and on Cleveland Avenue from Pinehurst Avenue to Bayard Avenue, as an approved 2012 capital project with the budget detailed herein, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has also awarded a contract for the reconstruction of Ohio Street from George Street to Isabel Street known as SU-0303007 and approved by Council File # 11-2437 , and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works is proposing to transfer the remaining MSA funds from the St. Paul Avenue @ Cleveland Avenue Intersection Improvements Project into the Ohio Street Reconstruction Project, and
