Authorizing an 18-month lease between the City of Saint Paul and Weis Builders for the Pedro Park lot.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (the "City") owns park land located at 114 10^th Street East, Saint Paul, Minnesota, (the "Pedro Lot"), as depicted on the attached Exhibit A; and

WHEREAS, the City's approved Penfield Project, to be constructed by Weis Builders (the "Contractor") over the next 18 months, is located directly across 10^th Street from the Pedro Lot; and

WHEREAS, the Contractor seeks to enter into a Lease Agreement with the City to use the Pedro Lot for placement of construction trailers, storage of construction materials, and parking of vehicles on a limited basis, as provided in the attached Exhibit B; and

WHEREAS, the City also wishes to enter into said Lease Agreement with the Contractor for said purpose; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the City of Saint Paul do hereby approve said Lease Agreement and authorize the proper city officials to execute same.

Financial Analysis

None.  Lease payments will be used for future development of Pedro Park.
