Approving the signing of the compact for the Saint Paul Children's Collaborative.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is one of the founding partners of the Saint Paul Children's Collaborative that was established in 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Collaborative Board is implementing the National League of Cities Youth Master Planning process to coordinate the work towards a vision of Saint Paul as a city where all children learn, grow and thrive; and
WHEREAS, in support of that vision, the Saint Paul Collaborative Board is asking that each institutional partner of the Collaborative sign a Compact and Statement of Support for Saint Paul Children and Families; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council finds that the collective commitment to the welfare of Saint Paul Children and Families is an important tool for achieving the vision and authorizes the Mayor to sign the attached Compact and Statement of Support.
