Purpose of Appeal
The tenant failed to pay the electric bill and the electricity was shut off.  On 5/17/12 I have turned the electricity back into my name and is now on.  The building was put on vacant list cause of lack of electricity.

Staff added the notice of condemnation paperwork to the appeal.  Appellant told staff that he is only appealing the vacant building notice.
 
Body
WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Tony Hoong, on behalf of Zheng Rental Properties, to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 731 THOMAS AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant;
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal; waive the vacant building fee for 120 days and require the owner to obtain a code compliance inspection; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
