Purpose of Appeal
#7 of the Fire Inspection Correction Notice is being appealed.  The windows are original to the home, built in 1923.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Gretchen Iwen, on behalf of Steven and Rachel Alwin, to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Inspection Correction Notice at 1779 WELLESLEY AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
 
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 3-inch variance on the openable height of the egress windows in the east and southwest bedrooms; grant a 2.5-inch variance on the openable height of the egress window in the northeast bedroom; and grant the appeal on the door issue with the unit entry doors; Now, Therefore, Be It
 
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
