Cullen LLC submitted a site plan on March 26 for a new apartment building on property located at the southwest corner of Grand and Finn. The property is zoned RM2 and covers 18,000 square feet. The proposed apartment building would be 5 stories tall with 20 4-bedroom units. A total of 40 parking spaces are proposed (37 in the basement and 3 on the alley).
The Zoning Committee held a public hearing on the site plan on April 26 and May 10. Staff recommended approval with conditions. The Zoning Committee voted 3-2 to recommend denial of the site plan.
The Planning Commission approved the site plan with 7 conditions on May 18 on a vote of 15-1.
Neighbors (Tammy and Mike Thomas) are appealing the Planning Commission's decision to approve the site plan.
