Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept donations from Hands On Twin Cities (HOTC) for tools, materials and supplies for any partnered events in 2012, not to exceed a total amount of $2500, and to thank them for their donation.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation has maintained a cooperative partnership with the non-profit organization Hands On Twin Cities; and
WHEREAS, it is the mission of Hands On Twin Cities to "bring people together to strengthen communities through meaningful volunteer action"; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Environmental Services Unit is partnering with Hands On Twin Cities to facilitate meaningful volunteer events in 2012; and
WHEREAS, Hands on Twin Cities wishes to donate tools, materials, and supplies for any partnered projects in 2012, not to exceed a total amount $2,500 dollars; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that city council accepts the donations of tools, materials, and supplies to support volunteer events in Saint Paul Parks, and thanks Hand On Twin Cities for their generous donation.
