Title
Authorizing the City Attorney's Office to amend a Joint Powers Agreement entered into with State of Minnesota, Departmet of Public Safety, to extend the term of the agreement until June 20, 2013.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, through the Office of the City Attorney, has with the approval of the Saint Paul City Council (Res. 12-622 ) entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety, to provide an adapter that will allow communication between the Saint Paul City Attorney's Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension eCharging application; and
WHEREAS, the initial agreement was executed significantly later than anticipated, and there is insufficient time left in the term of the Original Contract to perform the scope of work; and
WHEREAS, parties wish to enter into an Amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement to extend the term until June 20, 2013, or until all obligations have been satisfactorily completed, whichever occurs first, and extends the time to complete milestones; and
 
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain the same; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the city council hereby authorizes the appropriate city officials to enter into the attached Amendment #1 to the Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety.
