Body
In the matter of improving safety on St. Anthony Avenue and Syndicate Street by improving the light levels by installing lantern style light poles with luminaires.  The project provides an improved pedestrian and bicycle environment on St. Anthony and Syndicate and is in keeping with the Complete Streets initiative, the Bike/Walk Central Corridor Action plan, the Transportation Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan and the Mayor's goal of making Saint Paul the Most Livable City in America.  
 
The Council of the City of Saint Paul, having received the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $91,400.00, financed by Municipal State Aid and assessments.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 3rd day of July, 2012, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
